4ids is just one of many anime localization companies. However, 4Kids is also know for doing hilariously bad englich dubs of popular anime, most notibly with their work on the north america Yu-Gi-Oh! series and the first 8 seasons of the original Poke’mon anime.

The north american version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime was localized by 4Kids entertainment and is most known for veing one of the most hilariously poorly dubbed and localized anime. 4Kids entetainment butchered this series by taking out several cultural referances, any depiction of violence, profanity, or even more well known, the cencorship of any sexual themes.

4Kids entertainment handled the localization for the north american version of poke’mon as well. However, this was only for the series first 8 seasons and caused for some hilariously dubbed moment. One of these moments include a schene with the lovable character Brock. He had brought food for his friends and asked if they would like a jelly fillled donut, despite clearly holding a rice ball.
Ultraman Tiga

Ultraman Tiga was yet another series that 4Kids attempted to localize in its hey day. That said, not only was the dubbing plaitantly butchered, but many Ultraman fans often clue into the fact that the entire structure of the show was butchered as well. this caused the show to follow what looked like a vastly different narrative, in comparison to its Japanese counterpart, as well as made certain scenes look straight up out of place.
